    I tried it! My only thing to add would be that the sponge is somewhat plain, add more flavouring if you like that sort of thing, it’s very moist and keeps that way for a while !

    Authentic Red Velvet Cake does NOT have cream cheese in the frosting. You really need to rename this! It is a fabrication!

    If you substitute the buttermilk for milk and vinegar to make your own do you still need to add the other tablespoon of vinegar?
